Two of these gas stations, including one in Circleville, Ohio, have already shut down. That particular station, open since 1990, has closed its doors. Another location, in Pickaway County, has yet to be sold, and it’s unlikely anyone will show interest.
One of the reasons behind the closure of gas stations is the advancement of technologies toward a more sustainable world. So much so that many gas stations are shutting down fuel pumps to make room for electric vehicle charging ports.
